SOELDEN

With the exception of a few warm weeks in August and September, the glacier at Soelden can be skied all year round. Even the lower slopes are protected by the tall, jagged peaks insuring good snow conditions all season long. Famous for good powder and ample above-treeline skiing, it’s a great area for the seasoned skier who wants to explore, while beginners will be more limited. The town stretches along the main road that traverses the valley with easy access to restaurants, nightlife and lifts.

Claim to fame: Soelden is a pre-season training Mecca for many national ski teams and anyone else who can’t wait to get back on skis.
