| Sölden can be considered to be one of Austria's premier active summer vacation destinations. A multitude of activities such as snow skiing-snowboarding is available on two glaciers. Other active sports are hiking/walking or mountain biking, which are easily accessible right from your hotel. Take the cable car or gondolas up the mountain and descent leisurely back to the valley. For serious training your muscle power will bring you up the mountain. River rafting, paragliding, and rock climbing are available with formal guides. For less active individuals the splendid Alpine Panaroma and a delicious, mountain lunch at an "Alphütte" is available with a cable car ride to the Gaiskogel Peak at 10,100 feet. |
