The winter sun casts its spell over the glaciers of Saas Fee and then it simply becomes a dreamworld of distinctive beauty. Adventures happen everyday and everyday is an adventure. The world's highest underground funicular railway opened here in 1984. The metro brings you to an 11,483 foot altitude for a most scenic descent around the magnificent glaciers. Saas Fee's downhill trails are superbly divided among beginner, intermediate and expert levels.

The village of Saas Fee is also at the peak when it comes to culinary art. From a lighthearted get-together to the lively disco's, Saas Fee will not dissapoint you with after skiing excitement. A snow park especially for snowboarders was built in 1996.

Just a few steps from the restaurant visit the ice pavillion, see the glacier from the inside with natural crevasses amidst changing colors of the ice formation.
Non-skiing activities include sign posted winter hiking trails, a tobbogan run, ice skating rink, curling, and a large indoor swimming pool with whirlpools,gym and saunas.
