Summer 2005

Tour Description
This is a very diversified tour: mystic swamplands along the majestic Danube, the Hungarian lowlands, dreamily farmer villages, and the metropolis Vienna and Budapest. This tour offers a natural and cultural experience mostly away from the touristic centres. Untouched nature, hardly known art-treasures and cultural monuments are on the bike route between Vienna and Budapest closely connected to each other. You will hardly anywhere else find such a mixture of inherent natural beauty, historic sights and native traditions.

The cultural highlights of this tour are of course: Vienna, the Basilica in Esztergom and the Hungarian capital Budapest.

Tour Profile
The tour is mostly flat, sometimes hilly terrain. The Austrian section is led on well equipped bike paths, in Hungary you will bike on country roads and side roads. In and out of the cities some traffic!
