Surrounded by glorious mountain scenery, Badgastein is nestled beside the thermal-springs at the foot of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Best known for sport and spa centers, the town is a characteristic picture with its wonderful “Belle Epoque” buildings in harmonious contrast to the landscape.
Winter in Badgastein means you’ll enjoy holidays with a wide range of activities. The slopes offer enough variety for average skiers as well as those who like the challenge of more difficult slopes and even deep snow slopes. In addition there are 90km of cross country trails. After a long, hard day of skiing, you can relax in the thermal baths. The skiing area of Badgastein includes Schlobalm, Angertal, Stubnerkogel, Graukogel, and Sportgastein. With the Gasteiner Schischaukel the Valley of Gastein is connected to the Grobarltal. With the "Gastein-Super-Skipass" all these slopes can be accessed.
