ALPES D'HUEZ
Vertical feet might not mean much to you, at least until you've experienced the
longest lift accessed drop in all of Europe at 6,650 feet. The Visalp ski area
pass gives you access to more than just skiing: it also includes free or
discounted entry to swimming pools, the ice rink, sports hall and museum. As
part of the Grandes Rousses pass, you'll have over 135 miles of lift-linked
terrain and that includes the towns and villages of Villard - Reculas, Le
Chatelard, Maronne, Auris en Oisans, Oz Station (Oz-en-Oisans) and Vaujany.
Claim to fame: Alpe 'd Huez is one of Europe's largest and
highest ski resorts and mountain-top finish on the Tour de France.
